Personal Challenges

I have four challenges now,

The first challenge is to learn English in short time. I came from Spain with this challenge; my goal is to learn in a short time, because I would like to look for a new job soon.

My second challenge is to get ORACLE certification; this is the other thing necessary to look for my new job.  I need work strong during about three or four month because I have to take tests for to get certification.

My third challenge is to looking for a new job in the informatics field, I don’t know the place for it but is important for me that this be close at my mom. I would like a job when I can travel round the world or to have the opportunity to go to Spain during the work.

My fourth challenge is more personal, but I think about this too. I’ll work to achieve it when I believe that I’m ready.

The thing most important now in my life is to keep my healthy for to achieve all my challenges. 

 

 

Project 2: Past Ability

Past Ability

What was something that you were really good at when you were a kid but and really at now?

When I was a child, I was really good when I played the piano and guitar. When I was a child I could play different instrumentals though I have never seen before. My grandmother said that I was a talent child, I don’t know.  I practiced all time because I liked it.

Now, I still play the piano, I like the music, I prefer to do the music than only listen it. When I have a different instrument that I have never seen before, I like to discover it.  The music is my passion!

What was something that you couldn’t do at all when you were kid but you are really well now?

I can’t to skate, I had skates but it was really bad thing, I learned with they but this was not enough.

 

Now, I learned to skate in Barcelona, although I’m not really good, I can enjoy when I’m skating.  Barcelona is the best city in the world for the rollers skates' people.

 

What is something you wished you had learned when you were younger?

I wished learn more sports, for example roller skate, volley ball, swimming, ballet and other arts, for example to paint, music (others musical instruments).

When you were younger could you play?

-          Soccer?. Yes, I was really good for this.

-          Cards?. I have never played this.

-          Baseball?. I have never played this.

-          A musical instrument?. This was my best activity.

-          Basket  ball? I was more a less good.

-          How good were you?. Depend.

What was something you wished you could do when you were a child?

I wished to learn different languages, because, when you are a child is easier learn different languages.  Also, I wished I had a good music’s teacher.

What is something you wished you had learned when you were younger?

I wished learn more sports, for example roller skate, volley ball, swimming, ballet and other arts, for example to paint, music (others musical instruments).

 Project 1:

The achieve the others was chance my life

I’m Elena, to me; arrive to other country is an amazing challenge.

I’m from Guatemala, but in 2004 I arrived to Spain, I was student and when I was studying my degree master, the government changed the law about labor, and I started to work as well.

This law changed my life, because I started to have others opportunities. I started to work in a company to part time. I was working in this company when they offered me other better position.

My professional life was improving every day; I started to have more responsibilities and my company trusted me more and more.

I worked very strong while I was watching my company grow. I could do different positions into my company, and I had other opportunity.

The company grows and I had the opportunity of to have my own company, they offer me to create a new franchise.

I started to work in my own company while my company was creating others franchise in others cities in Spain.

My franchise was being successful when I created others franchises for other cities too, I was growing.

I had a lot of employed during about seven years in Spain.

I believe that my more important challenge was to create a new company in a stranger country for me, but it was possible because the government achieved its goal, “improve the social services” and I could start to work.

The most import thing was the results, but I could achieve goals every day, my principal goal was do that the people worked happy, and I believe that I did it.

Now, I have a new professional goals, because I need come back to my professional job, I’m engineer and I’m studying English because I’ll looking for a new job when I have better English.

I like the technology and I would like a new job in this field.

While I’m studying English, I study an informatics certification too.

I have other opportunities, but I would like that the other things could change too. I would like as this government could achieve its goals about “labor laws of immigrants” because this would be a great opportunity for achieve my goals in my closer future, and I could have the opportunity of to see grow to this country with my work.
